Ruby Takes Off!

'Ruby. The Adventures of a Travel Bug' was launched at a well-attended and joyful event on Sunday 15 December 2013. 


With a large gathering of family and friends, Ruby was feted and toasted by Jackie Kerin, Melbourne-based children's book writer and storyteller.

She also brought Ruby off the page with a beautiful reading of the book, surrounded by children resplendent in pipe cleaner antennas! 

Over 100 books were sold on the day as well as a number of Sean's original artworks.

The room was bursting with ladybird cupcakes and the centrepiece was a stunning ladybird cake baked and decorated by sister-in-law Alison. 

Family were thrilled to see Ruby finally in print! It was also gratifying to have present Libby and Carol representing the MS Society whose grant was instrumental in Ruby's publication.
 
Artworks were flying, walking and rolling out the door to hang on walls around Melbourne and beyond.


So here's to Ruby - long may she fly!
